TimeGuardian is a polished Windows tray app that keeps your clock laser‑accurate with minimal resource usage. It smart‑selects the fastest NTP server (multi‑sample median), corrects drift only when meaningful, and provides a clean, status‑aware tray UX. Optional features include timezone/region tuning from IP using resilient, multi‑source lookups.

  • First run: A tray icon appears near the clock. Right‑click for Settings and actions.

📦 How to use

1. Run TimeGuardian.exe.
2. Right‑click the tray icon:
   • Sync now, Settings, Timezone tools, Startup toggle.
3. Optional: Place logo.png next to the EXE to brand the tray/notifications.

🔐 Permissions

• System time changes prompt for elevation (UAC). Other features run without admin.
• Corporate policies may restrict time changes; accept the prompt when asked.

🧪 Notes

• Very low RTTs (e.g., 2–5 ms) are normal for nearby or anycasted NTP servers.
• If the EXE icon looks wrong in Explorer, rename the EXE once (refreshes icon cache).
