As described by Trusted publishing for npm packages the following changes were made:

  • Add id-token permissions (lets GitHub issue a token)
  • Updates to node 24 which brings npm v11.6.1 where npm v11.5.1+ is required
  • Removed explicit npm token configurations in workflow and top-level package.json
