This functionality was added for my Engineering Honors Capstone project through the University of Michigan. The alert system automatically runs on startup of the bastion and prints to the console when a login comes from an unseen network, a user's login attempt fails, a new user logs in, and when a user logs in for the first time in a while. Alerts have the following format:
