I know you're not the origin of etcd-backup, but fanfattan appears unresponsive to pull requests, and your fork appears to be the newest.
The most important fix is the TTL-fix. Without this expiration won't be restored correctly. Secondly I have added O_TRUNC to the file creation, to avoid generating garbled files on some file systems.
The other two commits are mostly cosmetic.
