1. Tests assertion contracts updated where implementation has drifted without breakages.
2. Tests assertion contracts updated and REVIEW comments added where underlying logic may be broken.
3. Skipped unused tests.
4. Minor code updates where necessary.
5. Added a workflow to be run tests on PRs opened to main.
