Backstage Talks website recreation (Frontend Practice)

📌 About the project

The goal is to recerate the structure, appearance, and behavior of the Backstage Talks website. Specifically, the preview page that Frontend Practice provides.

❗This is a personal practice project! all banding, content, and design elements remain the property of Backstage Talks. This clone is for educational, recreational, and non-commercial use only. Images, and text may be replaced with placeholders or free-to-use alternatives.

Page structure (HTML)

  • Build the 'first issue' template
  • Build the header (just the website title rlly)
  • Use the 'issue' template for the other issues
  • Build the mini 'about' section
  • Build the link to help page (info@backstagetalks.com) and Privacy Policy link
  • Build the issue# links (in desktop)
  • Set anchor links

Styling (Tailwind)

  • Mobile first (top:header, mid:issue, end:text)
  • Snap-scroll
  • Style the four corners of text

Javascript

  • Color-changing

Final stuff

  • Final code cleanup and commenting
  • Deploy the site to Github Pages
  • Add the live site link to the top of the README
