Part 1 (conditional-probability): covers conditional probability definition, multiplication rule, total probability formula, and Bayes' theorem with extended examples (smoking/coughing, dice, train delays, cards, factory defects, spam filter, sequential test updates). Part 2 (likelihood-ratio-misconception): explains why P(E|H) and P(E|¬H) don't sum to 1, introduces the likelihood ratio as the correct measure of signal strength, with 8 examples (World Cup, CEO/Macau, elections, diabetes, Michelin stars, ATPL licence, startup pedigree, chess context).
