did you test this? bcuz pretty sure direct application without scaling of the eir/derivrate results in divergent behavior (overshooting with newtons method)

@ooosssososos Yes... I tested this with a few edge cases and also a random + long case. Newton's seems pretty standard for this type of problem from what I saw online.

Edit: Tested with a few more cases and that doesn't seem to diverge.
