In my branch for FreeCAD, I modified the Spreadsheet to return string type content with a leading quote to avoid certain ambiguous cases. Upstream FreeCAD also add the quote but only if the entire cell is displayed as string but contains only numericals. This patch makes your macro works in both versions.
