About Questionmark

"Questionmark's technologies and services enable organizations to measure knowledge, skills, and attitudes securely for certification, regulatory compliance and successful learning outcomes".

Questionmark On Demand is a hosted Assessment Management System (AMS) and Questionmark Perception is an AMS suitable for installation on premises behind the firewall.

About IMS LTI

The IMS LTI Specification, or Learning Tools Interoperability Specification, defines a way for Learning Management Systems (LMSs) to integrate with external tools using a standard protocol. Previously, developers of external tools would have to write an LMS-specific plugin such as a Moodle module or a Blackboard Building Block to integrate.

In the language of LTI the LMS is called a ToolConsumer and the external tool, like Questionmark's AMS, is called a ToolProvider.

About this Connector

At the time of writing Questionmark's AMS does not support the LTI protocol natively, however, it does provide a set of APIs that allow third parties to integrate. These APIs are called QMWISe (a set of SOAP-based web services) and PIP (a URL-based launch mechanism similar to OAuth and LTI itself).

The purpose of this connector is to wrap the existing Questionmark APIs allowing direct integration through the LTI protocol. This community edition provides a free, open-source code base for anyone wanting to integrate with an LTI-compatible LMS. Support for this connector is provided through these project pages. For information about supported integration solutions please refer to Questionmark's website.
