+- **Multiple headers** can be added by adding rows before the separator line. Headers can also make use of cell spanning, as well as the optional multiline and row span functions described below.
+- **Cell spanning** can be performed by adding additional pipes to the end of the cell. The number of pipes equals the number of columns the cell should span.

+##### Multiline
+
+Adding a backslash to the end of the line causes the line to merge with the line below. Markdown formatting such as lists, blockquotes, or code blocks will span across lines as well. Notice that the backslash can either be placed after the pipe character, or it can directly replace the pipe character.
