# How to Turn on Dark Mode and Switch Themes on Replit


We recently changed how you change themes on Replit, and since people have been asking, we'll show you how it's done in this short blogpost. Start off by clicking on the hamburger button in the top right corner to open up the sidebar:

Next, simply click on the moon or sun at the bottom of the menu to switch between light and dark theme:

We're working on adding themes besides light and dark currntly, such as the spooky theme. Changing to these themes is easy as well! Start out by clicking your username on the aforementioned sidebar, then click on Account:

Scroll down until you get to the Preferences section, and use the dropdown menu to change your theme:

There ya have it, easy theme changing on Replit!
