This application shows 3D rig plots in a simple and interactive way. It uses 3D models to help you understand rig structures clearly. The software works on Windows computers. You do not need any special skills to use it.
The application shows detailed views of rigs used in drilling and offshore projects. It can help engineers, technicians, or anyone interested in rig design to see rigs from all angles. It supports models related to drilling engineering, offshore and onshore rigs, and rig substructures.
- Windows 10 or higher (64-bit recommended)
- At least 4 GB of RAM
- Minimum 2 GHz processor
- 1 GB free hard drive space
- DirectX 11 or higher support on your graphics card
- Internet connection for initial download (no connection needed afterward)
You do not need to install any programming tools or libraries.
- Integrated 3D rig visualizations
- Easy controls for zooming, rotating, and moving the model
- Clear plots showing rig components and their connections
- Support for drilling, offshore, and mechanical rig parts
- Smooth performance on standard Windows machines
- A user-friendly interface with no coding required
Follow these steps to download, install, and open the application on your Windows computer.
Click the large blue button below to go to the download page where you can get the application files.
The page shows files and instructions. Look for the latest Windows version or release.
Find the file with a name similar to Integrated-Rig-Visualization-3D-Setup.exe or any .exe file for Windows. Click it to start the download. This file is the program you will run to install the application.
- Once the download finishes, open the file by double-clicking it.
- If Windows asks, confirm you want to run the file.
- Follow the setup instructions on the screen.

- After installation, find the application icon on your desktop or in the Start menu.
- Double-click the icon to open the application.
- Wait a few seconds for the initial load.
The main window shows a 3D rig model. Use your mouse and keyboard to explore it.
- Rotate Model: Click and hold the left mouse button, then move the mouse.
- Zoom In/Out: Use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out.
- Pan View: Hold the right mouse button and move your mouse to pan.
- Reset View: Click the reset button in the interface to return to the default angle.
You can adjust the view using simple options:
- Show or hide parts of the rig
- Change the lighting for better visibility
- Switch between different rig models if available
If the application does not start or shows errors:
- Check that your computer meets the system requirements.
- Restart your computer and try again.
- Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date.
- Close other programs that may slow down your computer.
- If you still have trouble, visit the GitHub page and check the 'Issues' tab for help.
The downloaded package includes:
- The main executable file (
Integrated-Rig-Visualization-3D.exe) - A
modelsfolder with 3D rig files in supported formats - Configuration files for display settings
- A
README.mdwith detailed technical instructions - A license file
This repository hosts a 3D rig visualization tool that integrates engineering models into easy-to-use plots. It supports the energy industry sectors like oil and gas, offshore and onshore operations, and drilling engineering.
The project helps visualize rigs such as semi-submersible rigs and land rig substructures. It uses Python and mesh3D technology to create interactive 3D plots. This makes complex rig data easier to understand for engineers and decision makers.
