I'll be honest I cant remember - its been a while since I have looked at this. I do think there was a issue with exiting the window though yes.

Added a GDI (native win32) demo. Tried to keep it as close to the SDL demo as I could.
-Even if its not merged, might be useful to some one.
-Two build scripts, one for msys2, one for msbuild.
-Mostly the same, except no bitmap support/icons, these are done with text.
