…aneously - i first tried doing something clever with the conflictig patches, but that was too difficult. Instead, fortunately the fs sandbox is an ideal single coordination point in which to put a lock, and that seems to solve this problem very nicely (at least, it is easy to understand: one client gets the lock and the rest don't).
…f .git basically 1 clever 1-liner from gpt5 (after a bunch of back and forth and a big bug using xargs) that gets the current repo, even uncommited changes, and is faster and does NOT copy .git, which we do not need.
… works with our new project runner
- this is just one command, but there could be many others and this approach should work in any context where this can be run at all
