GramPower — A Village Electricity Status & Complaint Management System The Inspiration “In village, current is gone… when will it come?” “No proper information.” “No way to complain.” “WhatsApp group is not safe and not everyone is there.” In our village, electricity supply is irregular and unpredictable. Power cuts often last for long periods, and villagers do not have any official or reliable way to know the current status. Earlier, villagers depended on a WhatsApp group to share electricity updates. But this created many problems: Not all villagers were added to the group Anyone could see others’ phone numbers (privacy issue) No official authority was managing the updates No proper way to raise complaints to electricity staff Villagers did not have contact numbers of electricity officials This made communication difficult, insecure, and unreliable. That’s when the idea of GramPower came into picture. How It Works (The Flow) GramPower provides a simple and secure digital platform for electricity updates and complaints in villages. The Admin Update Admins (electricity staff or village authorities) log into the system. They update the current electricity status such as Power ON, Power OFF, or maintenance information. They can view complaints submitted by villagers. They can take action and manage issues efficiently. The Villager View Villagers can open the website without login. They can check the current electricity status anytime. No phone number or email is required to view updates. This ensures privacy and easy access for everyone. The Complaint Submission Villagers can submit complaints related to electricity issues. They do not need to enter personal details like phone number or email. Complaints are stored securely in the system. Admins can view and respond to complaints.
