TODO list (deform and STK)

replace deform_lib/filters/gaussian_filter_3d with stk/filters/gaussian_filter_3d
move all remaining filters (and the Jacobian) from deform to stk
clean-up CMake config, have separate CMakeLists.txt for each component in STK and DF (filters, io, etc...)

Low priority:

Volume::as_type()
Normalise the gradient distance metric (1)
