• xdg-utils scripts and what we should do with them:
  • xdg-{desktop-icon,desktop-menu,icon-resource}: no-ops as these utilities conflict with the sd philosophy of full user control and uninvasive applications
  • xdg-{email,mime,open}: provide fully functional replacements
  • xdg-{screensaver,settings}: TBD
• Should implement the GIO GAppInfo API and override GLib's implementation through LD_PRELOAD for applications that use it (e.g. Firefox)
