Vanessa Polito is a Solar Physicist working at the Lockheed Solar and Astrophysics Laboratory in Palo Alto, CA.
She obtained her PhD from the University of Cambridge, UK, and then worked as a postdoc at the Harvard-Smithsonian CfA in Massachusetts, MA.
Her research topics include ultraviolet observations and modelling of solar flares and energetic events on the Sun.
She is also deputy-PI of IRIS and co-I of MUSE NASA missions.

Dr Steph Yardley is an STFC Ernest Rutherford Fellow and Vice-Chancellor's Fellow at Northumbria University.
Her research focuses on understanding the pre-eruptive evolution of coronal mass ejections, the sources of solar energetic particles accelerated during these eruptions, and the origins of the solar wind, particularly using observations from Solar Orbiter.
