Awesome design... since you've added this we got the 'swiping' functionality working on mobile. Your design is a completely different but very valid UX. I have found a team of volunteers that might be able to get this coded up. Will update soon with a link. |

@pmvogt I just noticed your offer to create these styles, please feel free to do so. I've also sent your figma to some folks that were interested. |

@pmvogt - the doctor has asked if he can get in touch with you and give you another domain name and the current algorithm (he's made some adjustments since that PDF). I sent you an email intro |

I've added a link here for some potential UX changes/improvements. I placed it in the readme rather arbitrarily but the real goal is to start a conversation here around this design proposal:
https://www.figma.com/file/P5vRB0Tkfzu4sBdpbLVyu4/screencovid?node-id=0%3A1
General pre-screener UI:
The feedback I've seen on HN so far was around the Tinder swipeable interface not being immediately intuitive for all audiences. There is probably some merit to that. This design proposes:
A return to the original UX, but with some more clearly delineated sections and controls, as well as an improved mobile layout.
Card component vs checkbox
Really these could be html checkboxes under the hood just styled as cards with checkboxes. The visual icons were an open resource and will need attribution to the author.
Score results vs language-based results:
Rather than rendering the score in real time, I'm proposing we give a conversational response to the user. While the score is important to know (and hence alluded to in the description underneath), the real question I'm wanting answered when using this tool is "should I go get tested?". Or, maybe even further abstracted away, "Am I infected?".
While this tool isn't a substitute for a doctor, and we should be wholly transparent with the scoring criteria, my hypothesis is that a conversational response to their input gets to their intended result quicker.
Use of Material styles:
No true reason other than to scaffold quickly in Figma. I do think Google have figured out the form UI space very well, though. It'd be a pretty trivial task to add these styles and I am capable of doing so if need be.
