Muffins made Co-op Entrando work. It's awesome. This is a pre-release until the code is integrated into this branch, but everything seems to be working properly.

How it works:

  1. Click the Map button to pull up the menu and select Start Co-op Server

    2.Start Co-op Server, share your server address with your partner

    Note: You will need to forward your port for your partner to connect. No, I won't be helping you with this.
  2. Once you partner is connected begin tracking as normal.

Exact behavior:

  • Right clicking a green square, entrance in the bottom list, or overworld item (green diamond) will also remove it for your partner.
  • Collecting an item will mark it completed on your tracker, but mark it as TODO (yellow circle, middle click) for your partner
  • Because of the above behavior, autotracking is strongly recommended. Autotracking requires SNI.

Still pending:

  • Drag n' Drop Markers option is not currently supported.
  • Numbers (mouse wheel) on items and entrances are not synced.

Updates to Co-op Tracker:

  • Enable UPnP support when starting a server. This means you maybe don't need to forward a port. This is not guaranteed to work, and you'll need to figure out networking on your own. If UPnP doesn't work you will need to forward the port. Good luck you are on your own.
  • You can add numbers to icons on the map using scroll wheel, and this should be synced. You might want to put a sword next to Hype Cave and set it to "3" to indicate the 3rd check.

Changelog

Map Tracking:

  • Added icons for zelgawoods, new icons for connector dungeon final sections, tavern, drop downs and several new items
  • Mouse wheel can now increment and decrement a number over the marker icons at the bottom of the GUI and the markers placed on the map (use this to for example track found shops, vital items, ...)
  • Undo is now done by pressing Mouse 4 or clicking the undo button in the bottom right
  • Marking off a marker in the bottom GUI now greys it out instead of placing a red X to reduce visual clutter and have an easier time seeing which entrances are left
  • The default map layout is now zelgawoods (meaning fewer green squares in the SW region)

Autotracking

  • Added autotracking for new icons
  • Dungeon Item counts and key counts (max and current) as well as big keys are autotracked now in the notes section (non VT only)
  • Fixed autotracking of OW items after loading a save
  • Changed the autotracking standard port to 23074

Notes and dungeon counters

  • Moved dungeon counters and notes to a separate section on the side of the map
  • Enable notes through the menu, can be moved to either the left or the right side of the window
  • For non entrance seeds the map can be disabled to only have the notes and the dungeon counters
  • Changed a lot of things about the dungeon counter and notes interaction for better UX
    • Selected dungeon now has a yellow border
    • Full cleared dungeons get a red background
    • Focus stays on the notes editor even when clicking other things on the tracker
    • Clear all button at the bottom of the notes field
    • Each line has a small X button that lets you delete the line
  • Track saved keys, needed keys, count vital items and max vital items in the notes section
    • Saved keys decrease max key count of a dungeon once known
    • If current keys < needed keys the key label will turn red unless you have reached max keys
    • Enable the check box next to the vital items label to track vitals instead of the general item count of the dungeon

Other things

  • Entrando remembers its layout when closing and restarting the app
  • Old saves work with Entrando, but dungeon notes will not save
  • The menu now lets you load following presets:
    • Zelgawoods
    • Legacy Skull Woods
    • Full Skull Woods (all the green squares like all Entrando)
    • Keysanity notes (loads a checklist of all keysanity dungeon locations into the notes section)
    • Keydropnotes (loads a checklist of all keydrop dungeon locations into the notes section)

  • Fixed a bug introduced when updating Godot version where additional markers can't be created
  • Partially completed multi-check icons (e.g. Saha) will now be marked as TODO when they have been partially checked.

This mostly just works, but has a few rough edges worth mentioning.

  • Sahasrahla is marked off with the 3 items in the closet. The green pendant turn is currently not tracked.
  • Overworld items are not tracked yet.
  • There is no way to change your port.
  • There is no way to opt-out of autotracking.
  • The autotracking status is part of the Windows Title. Depending on how your OBS Scene is configured, this can cause some issues. It's simple enough to fix your OBS scene

For now, marking this as pre-release. Only the port issue is likely to get resolved soon, with the other changes coming eventually™. But none of the above should stop you from enjoying less of a mental burden while playing. Enjoy!

Tracker initializes correctly now

Apparently I needed to export all to get the initial map included in the exported package. Well, this fixes that annoying bug I introduced and now the tracker opens with to a good state.

Update to use Schulzer's icons for L/R/U/D for better visibility

Changed the icons for HC, DP, and TR to use arrows instead of letters to improve visibility. Credit to Schulzer for creating the icons.
