I've taken the old init script example and cleaned it up. It should work a little better now, but feedback is appreciated. :)

I've tested it on Ubuntu 14.04.

The script is taken from from Pinto 0.09993 release tarball
Also, fix the following issues:
- Re-introduce Hugh's copyright notice
- Remove puppet-specific stuff
- Set the PINTO_HOME variable, so pinto doesn't crash at startup
- Move PID stuff to /var/run, since that's where it's expected
- Repeat attempts at harvesting the starman PID, since it's startup
  may not be instantaneous.
- Clean up some status messaging
- Remove some unused (commented-out code)
- Add myself (Salve J. Nilsen) as a contributor :)
- The init script now correctly sets the pidfile parameter for Starman
- Removed a bunch of contortions related to pidfile management
- Tested on Ubuntu 14.04
