I don't think this line can be removed from here? If the Access method is not called, we want it to default.

Is there a reason to make this not readonly? It's only assigned in the c-tor.

Numerous changes needed to overcome Monotouch limitations when deploying
to devices. The major issues are with the AOT compiler as well as problems with needing to have to dispose commands explicitly.
