Using Titcoin
Titcoin is a cryptocurrency like Bitcoin. It is entirely run by its users, without any company behind it! In order to use Titcoin, every community member downloads the "wallet" on his/her PC and synchronizes it with other users on the network. After that is done, you can send and receive titcoins! No registration is necessary. We will go through this process step by step.
You can download the Titcoin wallet from https://titcoinwallet.org/
The wallet is available for Windows, Mac OS and Linux. Windows users have the option to download a full installer (which creates desktop icons etc.) or download the standalone wallet which can be run without installation.
There is no mobile wallet (Android, iOS) yet, but we are working on it. ;)
After you have downloaded the wallet, just start the downloaded file and follow the instructions. If you are on Mac OS, the process might be a bit different. If you need help, you can join our Discord and use the #wallet-support channel.

When you start the Titcoin wallet for the first time, it will synchronize with other Titcoin users. Over 2 GB of data will be downloaded, which can take multiple hours! The good news is that this only needs to be done once. Later, the wallet will catch up with the most recent changes in a matter of seconds.
In order to receive your first titcoins, go to the "Receive" tab and click on "Request payment". In the fields above you can add some info for your personal record keeping, but you don't have to.
When clicking on "Request payment", a new window will appear that displays your new Titcoin address in various formats. Click on "Copy address" to copy your Titcoin address to the clipboard, and use Ctrl+V or "Right Click"+Paste to insert it in a different window. The Titcoin address is the information that other people need in order to send you titcoins!
Some fun facts about Titcoin addresses:
- A Titcoin address is a random string of characters, like this: "1Q2oBNFG5GhceW4sFA5UB3KEry366heAv8".
- A Titcoin address must be copied exactly, if only one character is different it will become invalid.
- A Titcoin address always starts with "1".
- You can generate as many addresses or payment requests as you want. Use them to keep track of the different payments.
- When posting your address online, make sure to indicate that it is for Titcoin (and not some other cryptocurrency)! We recommend that you write "TIT:" or "Titcoin:" before the address.
Now you can copy the Titcoin address to your mobile phone or copy it to your web browser and post it somewhere online (e.g. on Reddit, Pornhub, Twitter etc.) and ask people to send you Titcoins! If you need your Titcoin address again later, you can double-click on previous payment requests to show the address.
Sending titcoins is very easy once you have coins in your wallet. You need to know the Titcoin address of the recipient. Go to the "Send" tab and copy the recipient address into the "Pay to" field. Further down, you can insert the amount that you wish to send.
The "label" field can be used in order to save the current Titcoin address in your address book. In order to view your address book, click on the small address book icon next to the "Pay to" field.
