The sidebar was hidden on desktop due to CSS specificity conflicts where the dynamically-applied -translate-x-full class overrode the static lg:translate-x-0 class. Fixed by using max-lg: prefix for mobile-only positioning and lg:!translate-x-0 to ensure desktop visibility.
