I'm Thomas Robacker, a PhD student in Statistics at UMass (University of Massachusetts - Amherst).
Some recent activities:
- July 2025 - served as a TA/Instructor for the SISMID (Summer Institute in Statistics and Modeling in Infectious Diseases) NFIDD (Nowcasting and Forecasting Infectious Disease Dynamics) course with Sam Abbot and Nick Reich.
- August 2025 - presented at JSM (Joint Statistical Meetings) on Practical Considerations for Fixed-Smoothing Limiting Distributions.
- Fall 2025 - R Tutoring Center lead at UMass, Amherst, TA/grader for Advanced Bayesian Statistics.
- Since Fall 2024 - Supported RA hours to administer and contribute to the SARS-CoV-2 Variant Nowcast Hub.
Upcoming activities:
- Participating in and presenting a poster entitled The SARS-CoV-2 Variant Nowcast Hub: One Year of Collaborative Modeling and Insights at the 10th annual EPIDEMICS conference.
