There was significant overlap between the technical competencies and the core competencies - around learning, teaching, and innovation. Have removed these technical competencies and proposed that an extra core competency be added to make teaching expectations more general than just technical skills. There was also duplication between technical competencies around understanding how to integrate data science products into working contexts. Have consolidated these into a single technical competency effectively around user research. These changes should help implement this performance framework in interviews / assessments / reviews, by giving interviewers/assessors fewer clearly measures to assess.
