This PR mainly:

Resolves Exception for unsupported window name contains the name's replacement field rather than its value #213.
Represents variable values through repr() in exception messages.
Lifts formatted string literals outside exception constructors.

Also add an entry in "What's New".

Also update the method to that recommended since xarray v. 0.14.1 of 2019-11-19.

Also correct spelling and spacing.
