Miga app creators can prevent display of specified fields in filterbar.

This is done by adding “Suppress filter” in settings.ini.
Example:
Suppress filter=FIELD1, FIELD2, FIELD3

The app creator may need this for several reasons:

  • aesthetics - to fit the filter bar to 1 line for example
  • interaction design - there are a lot of fields, and the app creator wants to limit the filter set to the most useful filters
  • curation - certain fields though useful to display in the entity view, may not make sense as a filter
