Only code change required was a minor
jsxfix to avoid updating state inside an effect which triggered an eslint rule (it might have been a false positive, not sure how await/async works in jsx, but chat says it should be OK either way and I'm inclined to agree: https://chatgpt.com/share/692a2087-7d1c-8002-8cb2-eed8ed8b1a65)
