fix: resolve LaTeX compilation errors

- Replace Unicode symbols (✓, ×, ★) with LaTeX equivalents
- Fix CO₂ subscript notation
- Rewrite zen-technical-paper.tex as standalone document

fix: remove redundant apt-get install in Docker container

The texlive/texlive:latest container already has LaTeX installed.
Running sudo apt-get fails because sudo doesn't exist in the container.

fix: add write permissions for releases and PDF commits

Fixes 'Too many retries' error caused by 403 Forbidden when creating releases.
Workflow now has explicit write permissions for contents.
