If you don’t own the game through proper means (e.g., Steam), the first thing you’ll need to do is set your game’s path. You can do this easily using WolfX. If you don’t want to use a tool, my Yu-Gi-Oh_Loader.exe looks in the registry at:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Steam App 1150640
For the InstallLocation key and set it to wherever your game is installed. This is required if you want the launcher to run the game without needing to manually specify a path. You must do this if you don't own a legit copy. Once that’s done, the game’s your oyster. Check out the sidebar for all the important info.
A great place to start is the WolfX - Tool Guide, which covers the core editing tool for game content. I also strongly recommend backing up your original YGO_2020.dat and YGO_2020.toc files in case anything goes wrong — you probably don’t want to re-download the whole thing.
Get familiar with how the game stores its content — the File Structure for Content page covers that. Also, keep an eye on any sidebar links that seem relevant to what you're trying to do.
If you get stuck, either open an issue on the GitHub or check out the Requiem Discord.
