Add bound to vals_power_temp term in assembleld gmres polynomial compute: coefficients(term) * vals_power_temp.
If -fp_trap is on, the temporary values outside of vals_power_temp(1:ncols) can be NaN and this triggers. The result was always correct as MatSetValues was only calling ADD_VALUES up to 1:ncols.
