This submission fixes several SonarCloud code smell warnings (rule typescript:S2933) in src/TaskStateManager.ts. These warnings state that private fields only assigned in the constructor or during class initialization should be marked as readonly.

Specifically, the readonly modifier was added to the following fields:

  • results
  • running
  • dependencyGraph
  • dependencyCounts
  • taskDefinitions
  • eventBus

The fields pendingSteps and readyQueue were intentionally skipped, as they are reassigned during the lifecycle of the TaskStateManager object.

This refactor improves type strictness and code maintainability, causing no functional regressions as verified by test coverage remaining at 100% with all 159 tests passing.

…te fields

Added the `readonly` modifier to the following private class fields in `TaskStateManager`:
- `results`
- `running`
- `dependencyGraph`
- `dependencyCounts`
- `taskDefinitions`
- `eventBus`

This addresses SonarCloud issue AZyNlgI08FJsAYbX6MbX and related issues (typescript:S2933) which require fields never reassigned after initialization in the constructor to be marked as `readonly`.

Summary of Changes

Hello, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request addresses SonarCloud code smell warnings by applying the readonly modifier to several private fields within the TaskStateManager class. This refactoring improves the codebase's type strictness and maintainability, ensuring that fields intended to be immutable after initialization are correctly enforced. The changes have been thoroughly validated, confirming no impact on existing functionality or test coverage.

Highlights

  • SonarCloud S2933 Fix: Add readonly modifier to several private fields in src/TaskStateManager.ts to resolve SonarCloud code smell warnings (rule typescript:S2933).
  • Improved Type Strictness: Enhanced type strictness and code maintainability by explicitly marking fields that are only assigned in the constructor or during initialization as readonly.
  • No Functional Regressions: Verified that the changes introduce no functional regressions, maintaining 100% test coverage with all 159 tests passing.

Code Review

This pull request effectively addresses the SonarCloud S2933 code smell by correctly applying the readonly modifier to private fields in TaskStateManager.ts that are only assigned during initialization or in the constructor. This change enhances type strictness and code maintainability without introducing any functional regressions, as confirmed by the existing test coverage. The decision to exclude pendingSteps and readyQueue from this modification is also appropriate, given their reassignments during the object's lifecycle. Overall, this is a clean and correct improvement.
