With ThankToken currencies like Thanks or Gradido support a person income. In other contexts this may also be called basic income. To put it short: every person is valuable and allowed to generate person income.

In our current monetary system people are considered as a cost factor. This applies especially for people that are less productive for our current economy such as e.g. old or disabled people. As ThankToken brings the concept of universal income where value is only created for and by the people, they turn from a cost factor to a value factor.

This way people are allowed to just be. Nobody is forced to take horrible jobs. Still people will work and do things that bring value to society. We will have more freedom to do the work we love to do. And the more we love what we do the better are the results and the more happy we are.

Person income is a powerful concept to share the physical value we have on our planet. Further it is a very simple idea supporting social justice and can replace complex and regulated concepts such as unemployment benefit, child benefit, etc. However, for real justice it matters how person income is financed. If it is financed via VAT the social justice will be in question. With ThankToken it is simply created rather than taken away from others.

Finally, with our current monetary system in a crisis or recession people loose their jobs. As then these people will not earn money anymore they stop bying. This is causing a vicious circle as then more companies get in trouble and fire employees ending in a depression. With universal income this is not possible. The economy can not only grow, it can also shrink without causing a recession what is sometimes required (see sustainability).
