Georg: Keisuke has a strong science background and interested, his initial project interest is in pattern formation and morphogenesis in biological systems. The idea is to create a Turing-style Reaction-Diffusion (RA) pattern, using engineered bacteria. An interesting goal, which would require the engineering of surface-related genes in the desired bacteria - and the observation how the changes in the genome affect the RA patterns of bacteria.
A step towards the goal could be the co-cultivation of natural bacteria and observe any possible pattern formation amongst them. And then, as a next step, do gene knock-down, knock-out.
Keisuke is also a hobby salamander breeder, he curious about the long lifespan of the salamander and their food cycle.

Hiroki:You may had better to go to the Bio Lab. in Amsterdam for your experiment if there are not enough facility in Tokyo
