MECANIM

  1. Import or create an animation clip. (If you create a new animation clip, the object can't currently have a controller.)
  2. Import the clip into the controller.
  3. Create a parameter (usually a Trigger for simple projects) that will fire the clip.
  4. Use the SetTrigger("TRIGGERNAME") command in your script to fire the trigger.

Beware the Kinect 1473! It will not work with OpenNI (the PrimeSense drivers for Win/Mac/Linux) ...it may work still with MS SDK (Windows only) or Shiffman's libfreenect Processing library (depth map only).
Ask the equipment desk for a Kinect 1414.
