The FirePick PnP head is built around a MakerSlide carriage that slides along the fixed Y-gantry. The PnP head features a hollow 15 gauge spindle that is lifted by a servo and turned by a stepper motor. The head is extremely light, which reduces the energy required to move it around and also simplifies the structural support for the entire machine, which doesn't have to contend with a dancing elephant. These simplifications are a major factor reducing overall costs.
