Adhesive conductive tape 1/4" (6.4mm) wide ...

Function

Metal tape is used to control ESD. Since the tape is always attached to plastic, which is an insulator, there is no need for the more expensive, conductive adhesive, although it will certainly work. There is an additional thickness requirement of 0.05mm thickness or more to manage the abrasive wear caused by cover tape pullback, where the plastic cover tape rubs directly on the metal tape.

Bill of Materials

The copper foil used by stained glass artists meets all requirements. More expensive alternatives also work fine but may not be the most cost-effective.
