Installing modcore Extension Manager

This guide will walk you through downloading and installing the latest version of modcore Extension Manager from the official GitHub Releases page.


1. Downloading modcore Extension Manager

  1. Visit the official GitHub repository:
    https://github.com/modcoretech/modcore-Extension-Manager

  2. Navigate to the Releases section.
    GitHub lists releases in descending order, meaning the topmost release is always the newest.

  3. Check the release label:

    • Stable (recommended): Production-ready version suitable for most users.
    • Beta / Pre-Release: Experimental version; install only if you want to test new features.
  4. Click on the release title to open the release page.

  5. Scroll down to the Assets section.

  6. Download the .zip file.


2. Installing modcore Extension Manager

  1. Extract the downloaded .zip file to a location of your choice.

  2. Open Google Chrome.

  3. Navigate to chrome://extensions/.

  4. Enable Developer mode (toggle switch in the top-right corner).

  5. Click Load unpacked.

  6. Select the extracted modcore Extension Manager folder.

  7. The extension should now appear in your extensions list and is ready to use.


Notes

  • Always prefer Stable releases unless you specifically need to test a Beta version.
  • Keep your extension updated by checking the GitHub Releases page regularly.
