Cabbage is considered a basic crop, which means it follows basic vanilla crop mechanics: it is planted on farmland, with 4 distinct stages. Mature cabbage crops yield 2-5 cabbage items when broken by the player, which can then be eaten or used in cooking.
Rabbits find and eat cabbage, destroying it completely.
Cabbage does not generate in the world naturally, and must be traded from villagers. Novice-level farmer villagers have a chance to sell 4 cabbages for 1 emerald.
Eating cabbage restores 3 hunger and 0.2 hunger saturation.
