Tomatoes are a crop added by Click For Hot Chicks.
Tomato is considered a trellis crop, which means they can only be grown using a trellis. Trellis crops, however, do not require the player to plant them on farmland or connected to water, and can be placed vertically to save space.
Tomatoes are harvested by right-clicking them, after which they return to an earlier crop stage instead of breaking. Mature tomato crops yield 1 tomato when harvested by the player, which can then be eaten or used in cooking.
As a trellis crop, tomatoes are immune to animal damage.
Wild tomato plants have a chance to generate in plains biomes (biome dictionary type: plains, excluding hot, cold). While tomatoes are a trellis crop, wild tomatoes spawn as a small bush with small, red fruit in open, sunny areas.
Eating a tomato restores 2 hunger and 0.2 hunger saturation.
Placing a tomato into a composter has a 65% chance of raising the compost level by 1.
