Trellises are a block used in fruit and vegetable farming. They are used as a medium to grow trellis crops.
Trellises are placed on the far side of a block, facing away from a player. They can be placed on any cardinal direction, as well as on top of each other.
Trellises have a solid hitbox, and if stacked more than 2 tall, can be used as a fence to contain animals and livestock, as well as other players. Trellises let full light in and make effective windows.
To begin growing a crop on a trellis, right-click the block with the desired trellis crop. Trellis blocks negate the need for water in growing trellis crops. They also do not need to be placed right on top of dirt, meaning they can be planted vertically along the sides of buildings, or to build purgulas and walkways.
8 trellis blocks can be crafted with 4x String + 4x Stick.
