Hit Points

Bastian edited this page Apr 3, 2025 · 1 revision

Measures the physical and mental durability of a character. Their current hit points can be any number from their hit point maximum down to 0. This number changes frequently as a character takes damage or receives healing. Whenever a character takes damage, that damage is subtracted from its current hit points. The loss of hit points has no effect on their capabilities. A character reaching 0 hit points becomes unconscious and dies within a certain amount of turns if not recovered in time. This is a status effect applied immediately to the character.

A character’s maximum hit points is usually equal to 10 plus that target’s constitution talent and potential other bonuses.

Unless it results in death, damage isn’t permanent and a character’s hit points can be restored by medicine and similar consumable items, advanced mental powers or rest. Whenever a character receives healing of any kind, hit points regained are added to its current hit points. Their hit points can’t exceed the maximum hit points. Any exceeding heal is discarded
