Resistance

Resistances are special bonuses applied to certain characters or objects. They exert whenever a die roll is made against such a character or object, that is based on a skill or attack with a specific type and that type matches a certain resistance. They are usually written as negative numbers which get subtracted from the die roll or attack damage suffered from that character or object. If damage would be reduced to less than zero, it is zero instead.

The opposite of resistance is vulnerability. A character or object being vulnerable to a certain type of die roll or attack will also add to such a die roll against a vulnerable character or object. They are usually written as positive numbers which get added to the die roll or attack damage suffered from that character or object.

Resistances and vulnerabilities might however be limited in some exceptional cases like when the narrator or a specific adventure asks for it
